"Are There Too Many Charities?, " asks White Courtesy Telephone.

Our friends at White Courtesy Telephone ask a very difficult question in a recent blog...

Are There Too Many Charities?

There is no easy answer. Part of me acknowledges the value of competititon, but another part thinks about the effectiveness of there being hundreds of food pantries in Texas that all run their own accounting/fundraising programs rather than a few strong networks of food relief that can refocus their limited resources on service delivery.

I tend to lean towards the idea that our sector would be stronger with the same amount of funding, but half as many non-profits.

What do you think?
