Don't Forget to Vote

This goes in the "and now for something completely different" section... but I wanted to point out this extremely good list of resources on voting in Dallas from Michael Davis at Dallas Progress.

I was especially impressed by this link... which helps you to see if you are registered to vote, where your polling place is and who your current elected officials are:

His blog is one of the best there is on local politics, since it has a real feel for the community. It provides practical advice and solid commentary on what is going on in this city.

I think that it is incumbent upon any fund-raiser to be actively involved in the community, particularly by voting. We spend our careers "selling" the ability to make a difference in the community... we must begin with ourselves in order for these words to carry any meaning.
