26% of the way there! (Community Hunger Day)

Thanks to many of you who read this blog, I am now 26% of the way towards my goal of $1,338 raised for Community Hunger Day!

I am going to fast for a full day on Monday, October 27, 2008. I will do this in honor of the thousands of local children and adults who struggle with hunger on a daily basis.

We may not be able to end poverty in our lifetime, but I know that we have the capacity to end hunger in this generation.

I had the wonderful pleasure of being a daily part of this ministry from February 1, 2005 through the end of September, 2008 -- 1,338 days that changed the course of my faith and my life! I am forever grateful to this ministry, and for all that they are doing for our community.

I want to raise $1 for each day that I was here at the ministry: if I hit my goal, that will provide nearly 10,000 pounds of food to hungry families!
